 Final Major Project:

 
In our final project I have been working along side a fellow Speical Effects’r Liam Major (LiamMajor.com) in order to create a scene based in WW2 where a inventer create a sentry gun using a Vickers gun and various scrap peices. I have created the Gun scene below and am coming up tto the final rendering stage with scene matched footage, which then Liam will take and compostie into the footage we have filmed together.

 Multi-Year Mech:

This project involved working in a small group over a period of 3 months to create a Sci-fi environment scene. My part in this was to lead the CG side and create a 3D Mech which would be one of the centre pieces of the scene. I modelled the Mech in Maya, as well as unwrapped, rigged and animated it while another textured it. The overall result of the project didn’t work out as well as we hoped, and for this we are planning on re-scripting the scene and in this time I will further improve on all aspects of the models.

3rd year CG motion and Dynamics: 

My purpose from this project was to expand on my modelling and my rigging skills in Maya. I designed the Robot myself with the intention of making it easy to show off things like rigged pistons, complicated track systems and hand movements. The model is currently under re-design for a new project in which it will be composited into an environment as I was unhappy with the overall open look for anything other than showing off rigging.

Second year summer Projects: 

As a summer project and to further expand on my aim to get better on Sci-Fi humanoids as well as anatomy, I created this space marine using Maya. The final result, when I get round to finishing this will be 5 space marines, all of different colours which will the head of each small production member in there armour. For the heads (Below) I will be using zBrush and with what I have learnt in my 3rd year will be able to texture and create these better when I go back to them.

  2nd Year Showreel:

 This was a project in my second year show reel that I chose to create in order to practice in creating characters to a realistically proportioned size as well as creating and animating a armoured military type character taking inspiration from Warhammer, Iron man and Halo.

 At-At Project:

First year project to create an animation in Max, which i chose to create a 3d AT-AT and then animating it walking through snow, fireing its main guns and tilting its head.

A project I gave myself in order to inspire me to learn how to use Maya and a project that will be restarted and an ongoing experiment in the furture in my spare time.
